Blue Penguin Family is a Licensed home based child care open for ages 6 weeks through 1st grade, which specializes in custom lesson planning. In our weekly activities I include sensory, art, large muscle, small muscle, science, social studies, language and literature, dramatic play, and music. I am looking for families that would prefer their children to be in a group with multi-ages, providing more of a family-like setting. I believe in the importance of children learning to get along with not only their peers, but children of different ages and developmental levels. Blue Penguin Family has a newly remodeled childrens play area complete with a play kitchen, train table, easel, art table, and built in cupboards with a sink and refrigerator. I believe the needs of children are to have positive role models, reasonable and consistent boundaries, coping strategies, to be nurtured, and to feel important. I can meet these needs by being a good role model, providing a safe learning environment, giving encouragement, helping work through difficult situations, letting the children know they are cared about and that what they think and feel are important. Taking care of children is my choice of profession. I enjoy caring for children and watching them grow and develop to their full potential.
